<br />Volunteer Month Proclamation <br />April 21, 2025 <br />WHEREAS: Volunteers make an immeasurable impact on the health and well-being of <br />communities by offering their time, skills, and resources for the benefit of others; and <br />WHEREAS: City of Roseville volunteers contributed 5,446 hours of service in 2024, which is <br /> the equivalent of 2.6 full-time positions, helping facilitate the city’s innovative natural resources <br />program; volunteering at community celebrations including Rosefest, Earth Day, and Wild Rice <br />Festival; contributing time to Public Works initiatives including Clean-up Day and Shredding <br />Day; and helping to beautify our city at events including Blooming Boulevard and Arbor Day; <br />and <br />WHEREAS: Roseville’s vibrant network of civic and nonprofit organizations including Friends <br />of Roseville Parks, Friends of the OVAL, Central Park Foundation, Roseville Police Foundation, <br />and numerous others, also rely on volunteers to contribute to City of Roseville programs, parks, <br />and its people; and <br />WHEREAS: Roseville’s strong volunteer ethic reflects Minnesota, which ranked third in the <br /> United States for formal volunteerism participation; logging more than 110 million’s hours of <br />service annually; and <br />WHEREAS: Volunteers are essential in building stronger, more connected communities, <br />creating lasting changes where they live, work, and play; and <br />WHEREAS: Volunteer Month provides an opportunity to celebrate the impact people have <br />when they use their civic power to support the causes they care about; and <br />Now, Therefore Be It Resolved, that the City Council hereby declares April 2025, to be <br />Volunteer Month in The City of Roseville. <br />In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the City of Roseville to <br />be affixed this twenty-first of April, 2025. <br />________________________ <br />Mayor Daniel J.
