<br />Attachment 1 <br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br />1Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />th <br />2Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held on the 5 day of May 2025, at 6:00 p.m. <br />3 <br />4The following members were present: ; and the following members were absent: . <br />5 <br />6Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />7 <br />8 RESOLUTION NO.___________ <br />9 <br />10 A RESOLUTION APPROVING STATE OF MINNESOTA JOINT POWERS <br />11 AGREEMENTS WITH THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE ON BEHALF OF ITS <br />12 PROSECUTING ATTORNEY AND POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />13 <br />14WHEREAS, the City of Roseville on behalf of its Prosecuting Attorney and Police Department <br />15desires to enter into Joint Powers Agreements with the State of Minnesota, Department of Public <br /> 16Safety, Bureau of Criminal Apprehension to use systems and tools available over the State’s <br />17criminal justice data communications network for which the City is eligible. The Joint Powers <br />18Agreements further provide the City with the ability to add, modify and delete connectivity, <br />19systems and tools over the five year life of the agreement and obligates the City to pay the costs <br />20for the network connection. <br />21 <br />22NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Roseville, Minnesota as <br />23follows: <br />24 <br />251. That the State of Minnesota Joint Powers Agreements by and between the State of Minnesota <br />26acting through its Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the City <br />27of Roseville on behalf of its Prosecuting Attorney and Police Department, are hereby approved. <br />28 <br />292. That the Chief of Police, Erika Scheider or her successor, is designated the Authorized <br />30Representative for the Police Department. The Authorized Representative is also authorized to <br />31sign any subsequent amendment or agreement that may be required by the State of Minnesota to <br /> 32maintain the City’s connection to the systems and tools offered by the State. <br />33 <br />343. That the Prosecutor, James Erickson Jr., or his or her successor, is designated the Authorized <br />35Representative for the Prosecuting Attorney. The Authorized Representative is also authorized <br />36to sign any subsequent amendment or agreement that may be required by the State of Minnesota <br /> 37to maintain the City’s connection to the systems and tools offered by the State. <br />38 <br />394. That Dan Roe the Mayor for the City of Roseville, and Patrick Trudgeon , the City Manager, <br />40are authorized to sign the State of Minnesota Joint Powers Agreements. <br />Qbhf!216!pg!248 <br /> <br />
