Attachment 1 EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * 1Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of th 2Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held on the 5 day of May 2025, at 6:00 p.m. 3 4The following members were present: ; and the following members were absent: . 5 6Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: 7 8 RESOLUTION NO.___________ 9 10 A RESOLUTION APPROVING STATE OF MINNESOTA JOINT POWERS 11 AGREEMENTS WITH THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE ON BEHALF OF ITS 12 PROSECUTING ATTORNEY AND POLICE DEPARTMENT 13 14WHEREAS, the City of Roseville on behalf of its Prosecuting Attorney and Police Department 15desires to enter into Joint Powers Agreements with the State of Minnesota, Department of Public 16Safety, Bureau of Criminal Apprehension to use systems and tools available over the State’s 17criminal justice data communications network for which the City is eligible. The Joint Powers 18Agreements further provide the City with the ability to add, modify and delete connectivity, 19systems and tools over the five year life of the agreement and obligates the City to pay the costs 20for the network connection. 21 22NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Roseville, Minnesota as 23follows: 24 251. That the State of Minnesota Joint Powers Agreements by and between the State of Minnesota 26acting through its Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the City 27of Roseville on behalf of its Prosecuting Attorney and Police Department, are hereby approved. 28 292. That the Chief of Police, Erika Scheider or her successor, is designated the Authorized 30Representative for the Police Department. The Authorized Representative is also authorized to 31sign any subsequent amendment or agreement that may be required by the State of Minnesota to 32maintain the City’s connection to the systems and tools offered by the State. 33 343. That the Prosecutor, James Erickson Jr., or his or her successor, is designated the Authorized 35Representative for the Prosecuting Attorney. The Authorized Representative is also authorized 36to sign any subsequent amendment or agreement that may be required by the State of Minnesota 37to maintain the City’s connection to the systems and tools offered by the State. 38 394. That Dan Roe the Mayor for the City of Roseville, and Patrick Trudgeon , the City Manager, 40are authorized to sign the State of Minnesota Joint Powers Agreements. Qbhf!216!pg!248
