Attending last
Concern
night's City Council meeting, and listening to and watching your
deliberations made me proud to be a Roseville resident. Your
approach to governing is respectful, inclusive of the whole
community, and proactive.
Second, I am wondering how we (Woodside neighborhood
residents) will know what your ultimate decisions are regarding
the city vacating the pathway from Aldine to Roselawn? The
other two paths (from Aldine to Ridgewood, and Wheeler to
Skillman) seem as if they are on track.
Frankly, we (neighbors not bordering the Aldine to Roselawn
path) were shocked by the animosity of those eight property
owners along the path. We certainly want to be respectful of
people's privacy, and do not want to impose on their properties,
but I do hope some version of the path will remain. Toward that
goal, it would be helpful to have it made clear exactly where the
path is and isn't. For example, the middle zone of the path seems
quite well narrowed and demarcated by Rachel Brown's wire
fence and fences along the backyards of the Mid Oaks residents.
(I believe they have already claimed some of the 50-foot right of
way.) However, when I am walking south and emerge onto
Rachel's driveway area, where her wire fence ends, I cannot get
to Roselawn without walking on her yard, as the house bordering
Roselawn (I believe the address is 99 Mid Oaks) has a chain link
fence sticking out in a rectangle where the path should be.
Thank you so much for including the community and allowing us
all to have a voice in your process.
Sincerely,
Olivia Gault
Unless restricted by law, all correspondence to and from Roseville City
government offices, including information submitted through electronic forms such
as this one, may be public data subject to the Minnesota Data Practices Act
and/or may be disclosed to third parties.
Qbhf!49!pg!464
