REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Date: 8/11/2025 <br />Item No.: 10.d. <br />Department ApprovalCity Manager Approval <br />Item Description:Receive City Grant Applications Update <br />1 <br />2 Background <br />3 In May, 2009, Resolution #10711 authorizing the City Manager to execute certain grant applications on <br />4 behalf of the City and to report any applications to the City Council was adopted. The City has applied <br />5 for several grants in the past several months. <br />6 It should be noted that the Conservation Partners Legacy grant award of $500,000 is listed as being <br />7 awarded on the attached spreadsheet. Council will make the decision on whether to formally accept the <br />8 grant at tonight's meeting. <br />9 Grant dollars awarded (not including city contribution) in 2025 have so far totaled $2,041,460.00 <br />10 Grant dollars awarded (not including city contribution) in 2024 totaled $1,790,867.68 <br />11 <br />12 Policy Objectives <br />13 To notify the Council of grant applications that the City has applied for in recent months. <br />14 <br />15 Equity Impact Summary <br />16 City grants allow the city to expand resources to address targeted needs throughout the city.
