36 The project budget is cost-effective through leveraging volunteers via our Volunteer <br />37 Stewardship Network and empowering trained volunteers and other volunteer groups. The <br />38 work plan specifically integrates volunteer tasks with contractor tasks that require <br />39 specialized training, equipment, or professional licenses, allowing for more effective cost <br />40 management. By taking a park system-wide approach, the project gains an economy of <br />41 scale for contracted work and provides more inclusive opportunities for volunteers <br />42(especially for the smaller neighborhood parks). <br />43 <br />44 This work is planned to begin late this year, and continue into June of 2028. <br />45 <br />46 Policy Objectives <br />47 Receipt of this grant greatly aligns with Roseville's strategic priorities: Parks and Natural <br />48 Goal #2 Roseville’s natural environment is and restore d, <br />49 and the success indicator: The Parks and Recreation Natural Resources Master Plan is <br />50 <br />51 <br />52 Equity Impact Summary <br />53 The City of Roseville's application for the CPL grant recognizes the importance of equity in <br />54 natural resources work.
