Now a new solar installation provides almost all of the lodge's <br />electricity and allows them to stay open year-round. <br />Minnesota's largest utility deepens clean energy commitments in long- <br />range energy plan—Xcel Energy recently released its integrated resource <br />plan, which details what sources the company uses to generate power. Their latest plan has <br />commitments to expand wind and solar energy, as well as battery storage to complement <br />those investments.
