Attachment 2
Each year, the Public Works, Environment, and Transportation Commission meets with the
City Council to review activities and accomplishments, and to discuss the upcoming
year's work plan and other potential issues to consider. From the list of meeting topics
over the past year, the Commission has lived up to its name, addressing a variety of
subjects in those three categories. A primary accomplishment of these meetings is having
well-informed, civil discussions as we continue to explore areas important to the City and
the Commission's individual members.
2024
July:
• Sustainability Intern Project Update
• City Council Joint Meeting Review —Update Work Plan
August:
• Bike Plan Update in Communication Item
• Public Works Capital Improvement Plan
• Lead Free Update
September:
• Metro Transit Update
• Recycling RFP
October:
• AARPWalkAudit
• 2024 Proposed Utility Rates
• Street Light Update
November:
• Public Safety
• 2025 Public Works Work Plan
• Less Mow May
• Miscellaneous Project Updates (Bike Plan/Snelling Pedestrian Study)
2025
January:
• Ramsey County Environmental Services Center Update
• Sustainability Super Meeting& Green Team Update
• Assessment Policy Discussion
February:
• Metropolitan Mosquito Control District Presentation
• City Meter Discussion
March:
• Winter Plowing Update
• Less Mow Summer/Pollinator Update
• Bike Plan
April:
• Dark Skies — UofMSustainabilityClass
