I can remember when the city offered
leaf pickup from our curb. Now, not only is that not offered, but the ability to easily
dispose of my leaves is also going to be discontinued. The erosion of city services over
time is truly a shame.
Asa master gardener, I have many deciduous trees in my yard, thus many leaves.
I also make use of the Ramsey County compost sites. The closest one is in Arden Hills;
there simply is not a convenient site on this side of Roseville. The Arden Hills site is often
backed up during the falls and spring seasons, with users from allover Ramsey County.
Safety at the site also is questionable during these heavy traffic times, with many
vehicles and trailers backing up, coming and going.
If we trulywant folks to compost, we need to make it as convenient as possible, not a
time consuming, tedious chore. Do not close the Roseville leaf site.
I:7 11T.FILTAY M
Get Outlookfor iOS
Page 133 of 175
