Attachment 2 <br />BeeKeeping Regulations in other Minnesota Cities <br />CITY OF COTTAGE GROVE <br />D.Permit Required. <br /> 1. No beekeeping may occur on any property in the City without a permit issued by the <br />City. <br /> 2. A permit application must be completed by the beekeeper on forms provided by the <br />3. The property must be zoned Agricultural (AG-1, AG-2), or single-family residential (R- <br />1, R-2, R-3, orR-4). <br /> 4. The permit will be valid for a period of two years. <br /> 5. Permits are non-transferable from person to person or from property to property and <br />do not run with the land. <br /> 6. All standards of practice and colony density standards shall be met in order for a <br />permit to be issued. <br /> 7. A permit shall be administratively issued by the City Clerk if all of the conditions are <br />met. <br /> 8. If any provisions of this Chapter are violated, the permit may be revoked by the City. <br /> 9. Beekeeping training is recommended for the beekeeper prior to issuance of an initial <br />of Minnesota and Century College. <br />E. <br />requirements of this Chapter are met prior to issuance of an initial permit and shall submit <br />an inspection report to the City Clerk with a recommendation.
