0.60 fc for residential roadways. For comparison, a streetlight (Existing Streetlight)
installed in 2025 at Fulham Street and Fairways Lane measured 0.71 fc, while a neutral
control location (No Streetlight) at 2225 Acorn Road registered 0.00 fc.
Measured values for both study areas fall below the recommended range for residential
streets, indicating that the study area does not provide adequate illumination consistent
with IES guidance or the intent of the City’s Streetlight Policy.
7 Conclusion
This memorandum outlines the methodology, standards, and equipment used for the
streetlight illuminance study at Fulham Street and South 36 Service Drive and Marion Road
and South 36 Service Drive. The results of this study provide the Council with data-driven
information to evaluate the adequacy of existing lighting at these locations. Based on the
results, and in comparison to the Standards outlined, streetlight installation at these
locations should be considered and would be consistent with the City’s Streetlight Policy
criteria for Standard Districts.
Page 5
Qbhf!282!pg!:15
