Attachment 7
There are also social and emotional costs for us, a small but
vibrant Roseville community and part of the public you serve.
Currently we chat across low fences, text with wildlife updates,
see parties and playtime unfold in backyards, and enjoy the sight
lines through neighbors’ woodland spaces and pollinator
plantings from our windows and yards. That will be lost if one by
one we build tall fences along a park, buffers to maintain some
privacy in our yards.
I do care about the wider community of walkers, some of whom
are longtime and dear friends of mine. I do understand the
feelings of loss that arose when the truth about the 20-foot
portion was discovered and caused the existing trail to close. I do
appreciate that your charge is to keep a perspective on wider
community needs.
And … I ask you to deeply consider and carefully tend to the
public and private needs of the Roseville community at the center
of this decision about the Aldine ROW, the families in the 8
properties most connected to it.
Unless restricted by law, all correspondence to and from Roseville City
government offices, including information submitted through electronic forms such
as this one, may be public data subject to the Minnesota Data Practices Act
and/or may be disclosed to third parties.
Email not displaying correctly?
