Attachment 2 <br />2026 Capital Improvement Plan <br /> Project/Initiative Summary <br />Department/Division: Street Lighting <br />Project/Initiative Title: Owasso Hills Area Street Light Replacement <br />Total Estimated Cost: $285,000 <br />Funding Source: Street Lighting Equipment Fund (property tax) <br />Annual Operating Budget Impact: $0 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Project/Initiative Description: <br />Replace existing street lighting systems in the Owasso Hills neighborhood. The replacement <br />involves five system; Highpoint, Terrace Ct, Overlook Dr, Owasso hills, and Hillsview. The <br />original systems were installed from 1996-1998 2000 and were leased from Xcel Energy. The 25 <br />year leases have expired and the City took ownership. The system needs replacement due to its <br />age. The new lighting system would upgrade all fixtures and wiring to new standards. The new <br />lights would be light emitting diode (LED), replacing the exiting high pressure sodium (HPS) <br />lights which should reduce long-term operating and maintenance costs. <br /> <br />Since this is an enhanced lighting system, the residents would pay for approximately half of the <br />cost of the lighting replacement project. <br /> <br />Location: <br />Owasso Hills Neighbourhood <br />Page 86 <br />Qbhf!277!pg!472 <br /> <br />
