<br />pad to replace the wading pool, a fully ADA-inclusive playground, and trail lighting throughout <br />the park pathways. <br />The Commission reviewed renderings of the proposed playground, splash pad, and park <br />furnishings. Staff requested feedback on whether picnic tables with umbrellas or a larger shade <br />structure would be preferred in the area between the playground and splash pad. <br /> <br />The project is anticipated to be bid in early 2026 for major construction components, including <br />the parking lot and concrete work, with construction beginning in the spring or summer. <br />Installation of the playground and splash pad will follow completion of the construction phase. <br />The anticipated project completion date is summer 2026. <br /> <br />Commissioner Botzek asked about the purpose of the conservation grant awarded to the project. <br />Staff explained that the City received a $200,000 climate resilience conservation grant to support <br />the installation of a water reuse system for the splash pad, as well as to help fund additional <br />shade features. <br /> <br />Commissioner Kooistra noted a preference for larger shade structures at playgrounds rather than <br />smaller table umbrellas, based on his family’s experience using similar facilities. <br /> <br />c) MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS CENTER UPDATE (STANDING AGENDA <br />ITEM) <br />The City of Roseville has entered into an agreement with LHB Architects to serve as the <br />architect for the License and Passport Center, Dance Studio, and Maintenance Center projects. <br /> <br />The City will utilize Kraus-Anderson as the Construction Manager to oversee project <br />deliverables. <br /> <br />Semi-weekly meetings are currently being held with the architects, construction manager, and <br />City staff as the design process progresses. <br /> <br />Applications for the Community Advisory Group are now being accepted, with the group’s first <br />meeting anticipated in mid-January 2026. Chair Matts-Benson will serve as the Parks and <br />Recreation Commission’s representative on the Advisory Group. <br /> <br />6.
