Attachment 3 <br />1 EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />2 OF THE <br />3 CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />4 <br />5 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br />6 <br />7 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />8 Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the ____day of ______ 201__, at <br />9 6:00 p.m. <br />10 <br />11 The following members were present: , , , , and Mayor . <br />12 and the following were absent: . <br />13 <br />14 Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 RESOLUTION No. <br />18 <br />19 Resolution Calling on Governor Walz to Pass an Eviction Moratorium through Executive Order <br />20 to Support Roseville in Keeping Families in their Homes and Further Protect them from ICE <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 WHEREAS, the City is committed to the safety, stability, and well-being of all who live, work <br />24 and do business in the community ; and <br />25 <br />26 WHEREAS, recent federal enforcement activity in Minnesota, Operation Metro Surge, has <br />27 resulted in a significant and highly visible presence of federal agents across the Twin Cities <br />28 metropolitan area and in Roseville, creating uncertainty, fear and disruption for residents, <br />29 workers, and business owners; and <br />30 <br />31 WHEREAS, community members have reported difficulty safely traveling to work, school, <br />32 healthcare and essential services, negatively affecting household stability and local economic <br />33 activity; and <br />34 <br />35 WHEREAS, during prior statewide emergencies, including the COVID-19 pandemic, temporary <br />36 eviction protections were implemented to prevent displacement, and allow time for coordinated <br />37 government response; and <br />38 <br />39 WHEREAS, without short-term protections, residents and small businesses face increased risk of <br />40 displacement, closure, and long-term emotional, psychological, and economic harm; <br />41 <br />42 WHEREAS the City Council seeks to act and uphold its values of accountability, community, <br />43 equity, safety, and integrity, while recognizing the rights and responsibilities of both tenants and <br />44 housing providers; <br />Qbhf!41!pg!277 <br /> <br />
