REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Date: 1/26/2026 <br />Item No.: 10.e. <br />Department ApprovalCity Manager Approval <br />Item Description:Approve the renewal of a Short-Term Rental License for 329 South <br />Owasso Blvd <br />1 <br />2 Background <br />3 Chapter 313 of City Code requires the licensing of non-owner occupied short term rentals <br />4 of dwelling units, subject to certain exemptions. On January 6, 2026, an application for <br />5 renewal of a short-term rental license was submitted by the property owner (Attachment 1). <br />6 The current license is valid through February 10, 2026. The property is a two-bedroom, <br />7 single family home. The property owner has certified and attested to the requirement of <br />8 lodging tax payment, as well as, the maximum occupancy of four or less unrelated adults or <br />9 one family. There have been no nuisance or property maintenance violations in the last <br />10 five years that impact the ability of the license to be issued. Monthly payments of the <br />11 required lodging tax have been submitted to the City. Short term rental licenses include the <br />12 requirement of minimum stays based on on-season (10 days) and off-season (7 days) <br />13 times of the year. <br />14 <br />15 Upon issuance, the license will be valid for 365 days from the approval date and will be one <br />16 of ten properties with a current short term rental license. A current copy of the license must <br />17 be posted in the rental unit, along with current copies of City Code Sections 404, 405 and <br />18 602. A draft of the license is provided as Attachment 2. <br />19 <br />20 The applicant has supplied all required license information and paid the license fee. In <br />21 accordance with Section 313.03, the process for licensure is outlined in Chapter 301, which <br />22 requires presentation to the City Council. If approved, the number of properties with an <br />23 active short-term rental license will remain at 11.
