REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Date: 2/23/2026 <br />Item No.: 10.d. <br />Department ApprovalCity Manager Approval <br />Item Description:Approve Resolution Awarding Contract for the Lexington Avenue <br />Sidewalk Project (25-14) <br />1 <br />2 Background <br />3 The Lexington Sidewalk Project will construct an 8-foot-wide pathway on the east side of <br />4 Lexington Avenue from County Road B to Sherren Street connecting existing pathways and <br />5 filling the pathway gap. Additional work includes the installation of an ADA compliant curb <br />6 ramp and a modular block retaining wall. <br />7 <br />8 Based on past practice, the City Council has awarded the contract to the lowest <br />9 responsible bidder. Nine qualified bids were received for the project. Upon review of the <br />10 bids received, Sunram Construction, Inc., is the lowest responsible bidder.
