Project Progress: LPCDS <br />For the LPCDS... <br />• We explored multiple layouts, including one- and two-story <br />buildings. A one-story option is preferred for the following <br />reasons: <br />• Single level design provides abetter scale transition to the single <br />family homes to the west <br />• The current building program does not "stack" efficiently decreasing <br />user wayfinding and adding construction complexity and cost <br />• Two levels increases costs dueto the addition of two exit stairs and <br />an elevator <br />• One level increases available roof space for solar <br />• We are looking at detailed layouts for the interior <br />• Outside form and materiality explorations have begun <br />Page 75 of 105 <br />
