This is a planned replacement that is scheduled every 5 years and coincides with the replacement of the squad computers. The
current units are starting to fail due to the high usage and temperature changes in the squads. The replacement is budgeted in the 2026 CIP for $14,420 which was the total cost of
the prior replacements in 2020-2021. SHI was able to secure the printers at a lower cost causing the quote to be in under budget. As new squads are purchased in 2026, additional printers
will be ordered as well as a few extra so spares are available should one fail which will bring the total cost more in line with the budgeted amount. The Skating Center will be replacing
the carpet in hallway to the banquet room. This area is one of the first places visitorsee as they enter the north doors for banquets, weddings, meetings, etc. The old carpet was
installed in 2016 and the heavy use in this area is showing with stains and general wear and tear. It is important to keep the area updated and clean for the guests as they rent the
facility. The typical life span of the carpet is 10 years. This is budgeted out of the 2026 Facilities CIP with a budget of $30,000. After soliciting multiple competitive quotes,
the lowest responsible bid came in below the original CIP estimate, which was developed more than a year in advance using standard square-footage cost assumptions rather than formal
quotations. The Autumn Grove Park Playground was installed in 2006 and at that time, the industry standard for expected useful life was 15 years. The current playground is one or Roseville's
most used playsets due to its position in a relatively dense neighborhood, and the prevalence of recreational programming in the park. The equipment is significantly faded and worn
due to many years of use and replacement parts are no longer available. The playground also needs replacement as it is not up to our current concreate curb standards. The expected
life of the new equipment is 20 years and is budgeted in the 2026 PIP CIP.The Applewood Park Playground was installed in 2005 and at that time, the industry standard for expected useful
life was 15 years. The current playground is one of the oldest in the Parks and Rec system and due to the residential density around the park, it is heavily used. The playground replacement
has been deferred twice due to satisfactory condition, but is now in need of replacement. The expected life of the new equipment is 20 years and is budgeted in the 2026 PIP CIP.The
Sandcastle Park Playground was installed in 2006 and at that time, the industry standard for expected useful life was 15 years. The current equipment is ready for replacement based
on its age and its low condition rating. The staff have also received requests from the neighborhood to update the equipment. A consultant will be used to endure the community's input
is incorporated into the final design. The expected life of the new equipment is 20 years and is budgeted in the 2026 PIP CIP.The EMS machine and UCapIt software is an industry standard
device used to help store and track EMS supplies while automating our resupply process. The system is similar to a ÐvendingÑ machine that you enter an identification code into, and
then select the items that you need. This will better help us to associate what emergency incident utilized supplies so we can better recover those used supplies from the appropriate
transport agency reducing overall operational costs. Additionally we will be able to utilize this system to dispense our controlled substances hoping to provide a more reliable and
controlled solution for tracking these medications then we currently are able to utilize all while remaining in compliance with federal regulations related to controlled substances.
This is part of the $100,000 2026 CIP budget for EMS equipment.
(f)
(a)(e)
(b)(d)
(c )
Key
DivisionVendorDescriptionKe
Fire DepartmentBound Tree MedicalUCapIt Software and EMS Machine(f)
Police Department
Parks and RecreationParks and RecreationParks and Recreation
P&R - Skating CenterEngineered Floors, LLCCarpet Tile for Banquet Room Hallway (b)
General Purchases or Contracts
