Law <br />enforcement agencies may apply for reimbursement grants to receive up to 50 percent of <br />the cost of compensating and training Pathway to Policing participants who obtain state <br />peace officer licensure. Reimbursement grants shall be proportionally allocated based on <br />the number of grant applications approved. <br />ΐȁΒ -¨¤²®³ Ȍ² #®¬¬¨³¬¤³ ³® $¨µ¤±²¨³¸ £ )¢«´²¨® <br />It is State of Minnesota policy to ensure equity, diversity and inclusion in making <br />competitive grant awards. See Executive Order 19.01. <br />The Policy on Rating Criteria for Competitive Grant Review establishes the expectation that <br />grant programs intentionally identify how the grant serves diverse populations, especially <br />populations experiencing inequities and/or disparities. See OGM Policy 08-02. <br />ΐȁΓ &´£¨¦ £ 0±®©¤¢³ $ ³¤² <br />Funding: A total of $720,000 is available for one-time funding. Awards may range <br />from $25,000-$75,000. Applicants can request funding for up to three candidates. <br />These are cost reimbursement grants. <br />Match: A one-to-one match of local funds is required and must be included in the <br />application budget. <br />Project Dates:These grants will have a -year grant period. Witha start date of <br />June 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. Grants must begin operating within 90 days of <br />award notice. <br />ΐȁΔ %«¨¦¨¡«¤ !¯¯«¨¢ ³² <br />State and local units of government (including cities, counties, townships) and Tribal <br />governments are eligible to apply. Colleges and universities that operate law enforcement <br />training programs are not eligible applicants.
