<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the city <br />council of the city of Roseville, county of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly <br />held in the City Hall at 2660 civic Center Drive, Roseville, Minnesota, <br />on Monday, the twenty-fifth day of June, 1990, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Thomas, Cushman, Maschka, Johnson, <br />and Rog <br /> <br />and the following were absent: None. <br /> <br />Member Cushman introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 8582 <br /> <br />TRAFFIC SIGNAL INVESTIGATION <br />RICE STREET AND S. OWASSO BOULEVARD <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Roseville is concerned about <br />traffic safety of the motoring public and pedestrians; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the city Council has received several requests from concerned <br />citizens about traffic safety at the intersection of Rice Street and S. <br />Owasso Boulevard; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Rice Street is under the jurisdiction of the Minnesota <br />Department of Transportation and S. Owasso Boulevard is under the <br />jurisdiction of Ramsey County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, to consider traffic signalization, a traffic study analyzing <br />the intersection is necessary; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City council of the City of <br />Roseville hereby requests that the Minnesota Department of <br />Transportation and Ramsey County conduct a traffic signal study to <br />determine whether a traffic signal is warranted at the intersection of <br />Rice Street and S. Owasso Boulevard and that the affected agencies <br />report back to the city with all convenient speed as to whether the <br />signal is warranted, the funding priority for the signal, and estimated <br />installation dates if the signal will be installed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Councilmember Johnson and upon vote being taken thereon, the <br />following voted in favor thereof: Thomas, Cushman, Maschka, Johnson, <br />and Rog <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: None. <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
