EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF CITY COUNCIL CITY OF ROSEVILLE RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the city council of the city of Roseville, county of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held in the City Hall at 2660 civic Center Drive, Roseville, Minnesota, on Monday, the twenty-fifth day of June, 1990, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. The following members were present: Thomas, Cushman, Maschka, Johnson, and Rog and the following were absent: None. Member Cushman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 8582 TRAFFIC SIGNAL INVESTIGATION RICE STREET AND S. OWASSO BOULEVARD WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Roseville is concerned about traffic safety of the motoring public and pedestrians; and WHEREAS, the city Council has received several requests from concerned citizens about traffic safety at the intersection of Rice Street and S. Owasso Boulevard; and WHEREAS, Rice Street is under the jurisdiction of the Minnesota Department of Transportation and S. Owasso Boulevard is under the jurisdiction of Ramsey County; and WHEREAS, to consider traffic signalization, a traffic study analyzing the intersection is necessary; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City council of the City of Roseville hereby requests that the Minnesota Department of Transportation and Ramsey County conduct a traffic signal study to determine whether a traffic signal is warranted at the intersection of Rice Street and S. Owasso Boulevard and that the affected agencies report back to the city with all convenient speed as to whether the signal is warranted, the funding priority for the signal, and estimated installation dates if the signal will be installed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Johnson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Thomas, Cushman, Maschka, Johnson, and Rog and the following voted against the same: None. Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
