<br />Regular Meeting of the Village Council, July 2, 1962,
<br />
<br />The Village Council met on the above date with the following members
<br />present: Mayor McGee, Trustees Reinecke, Flanagan and Kustermann.
<br />Trustee Goodrich was absent,
<br />
<br />Kustermann I.loved, Reinecke Seconded, that the minutes of the meeting
<br />of June 25, 1962, be approved, Roll Call, Ayes (4) - Nays (0).
<br />
<br />Flanagan l'loved, Kustermann Seconded, that request for variance by
<br />William Olson, 1911 Oellwood Avenue, be allowed in that Dellwood
<br />is a dead end street and to deny the variance would work a hardship
<br />on the neighborhood. Roll Call, Ayes (4) - Nays (0).

<br />Reinecke Moved, Flanagan Seconded, that the salary increase from
<br />$740 to $755 a month for Police Chief Ray Goneau be approved, effective
<br />June I, 1962, Roll Call, Ayes (2) - Nays (1) - Abstentions (1).
<br />McGee voting nay; Kustermann abstaining,

<br />Flanagan Moved, Reinecke Seconded, that the Clerk be instructed to
<br />contact the Police Civil Service Commission to determine if the Police
<br />Civil Service Commission regulations regarding political activities
<br />had been properly adopted, Roll Call, Ayes (4) - Nays (0).

<br />einecke Moved, Kustermann Seconded, that a pub lic hearing be set
<br />for the Strandquist variance, the Hittner variance and on Frank
<br />Tschida's Owasso Hills Final Plat for July 23, 1962, ,Roll Call,
<br />Ayes (4) - Nays (0),
<br />
<br />Kustermann Moved, Reinecke Seconded, that the Clerk advise the Spartan
<br />Store to adhere to the variance that was granted requiring certain
<br />planting and sodding along Fernwood Avenue, Roll Call, Ayes (4) -
<br />Nays (0).

<br />Reinecke Hoved, Kustermann Seconded, that the Insurance Commit.tee be
<br />advised to place the Village's comprehensive glass policy for three
<br />years, covering the various liquor locations operated by the Village,
<br />with the West Bend Mutual Insurance Company, for a total premium of
<br />$397.53. Roll Call, Ayes (4) - Nays (0),
<br />
<br />Flanagan Moved, Kustermann Seconded. that the application of Northwestern
<br />Bell Telephone Company to place buried cable on North Grotto Street and
<br />Sherren Avenue north of County Road "B" be approved, Roll Call,
<br />Ayes (4) - Nays (0).

<br />Flanagan /1oved, Reinecke Seconded, that the Village Attorney be. and
<br />hereby is, instructed to commence appropriate legal action to cbtain
<br />an easement in favor of the Vi llage of Rosevi lle as set forth in the
<br />arnest Money Contract of April 1960 entered into between the Village
<br />uf Roseville and Mads ~.1. Christensen and Vivian M. Roberts. Roll Call,
<br />Ayes (4) - Nays (0).
