<br />=2= <br /> <br />The ~1ayor announced the meeting was opened for consideration of a <br />proposed sanitary sewer and road improvement on Rosedale Drive in <br />he Village 0 <br /> <br />The Clerk produced an affidavit showing publication of the notice <br />appearing on the improvement two weeks in the official newspaper of <br />the Villageo the last publication being the 20th day of September~ <br />1962, which affidavit was examined and ordered placed on file, The <br />Clerk also produced a certificate of mailing notices to all property <br />owners of property lying within the proposed improvement areac <br /> <br />The r.1ayor gave a short resume of the background of the proposed sani= <br />tary sewer and road improvement 0 In substance he stated that the <br />improvement had originated by a petition from residents on Roseclale <br />Drive for road improvement and for provision of sanitary sewer <br />facilitieso This hearing was part of the procedure in undertaking <br />a public improvement 0 If the Council determines the improvement is <br />justified following the hearing, they will authorize it by resolutiono <br />The proposed road and sanitary sewer improvement was explained to the <br />individuals present by the Village Engineer 0 The substance of the <br />presentation was as follows~ <br /> <br />Mro Soutter explained that the road improvement consisted of the <br />construction of a residential street to Village specIfications, This <br />involves the laying of six inches of base material and four inches <br />of cold mix asphalt 0 The sanitary sewer installation of an 8 inch <br />sewer pipeD 350 feet north of Roselawn Avenue to and connecting to <br />the existing sanitary sewer on Roselawn Avenueo The sewer is not <br />.Jroposed to be laid the entire length of Rosedale Drive since the <br />lots on the north end of the block are already connected to the sewer <br />on Draper Driveo <br /> <br />Mro Turnlund9 the Village Clerk, presented a short resume of the <br />financing of the improvement 0 In substance he stated that the <br />total estimated cost of the road and sanitary sewer constructIon <br />was $3jl46Sc TIle entire amount was proposed to be financed from special <br />assessments, Since only four properties benefit from the sanitary <br />sewer, 2201 RoselawnD 1944 Rosedale Drive, 1947 Roseclale Drive, and <br />1939 Rosedale Drive, the assessment would be spread among these <br />properties 0 TIle road would only be of direct benefit to four <br />propertiesp 1944 Rosedale Drivep 1947 Rosedale Drive. 1939 Rosedale <br />Drive and 1927 Rosedale Drive~ thus, assessment for this improvement <br />would only be spread among those propertieso <br /> <br />The ~!ayor then called upon all property owners and interested <br />individuals present to express themselves either for or against said <br />proposed improvement 0 TIle following appeared in favor of said Improve" <br />ment, and the substance of the view presented by them was as follows <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />ROSEDALE DRIVE <br />SANITARY SEWER <br />AND ROAD HIPROVE= <br />MENT <br />
