<br />VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the Village Council, April 20, 1964. <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above date with the fol1owin~ members <br />present: Trustees Curley, Goodrich, Grauel and Shields. Absent: <br />Mayor Cedarholm. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Goodrich read the following Proclamation: <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The annual sale of Buddy Poppies by the Veterans of <br />Foreign Wars of the United States, an organization chartered by <br />the Congress, has been officially recognized and endorsed by the <br />President of the United States and the Veterans Administration, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The proceeds of this worthy fund-raising campaign are <br />used exclusively for the benefit of disabled and needy veterans, <br />and the widows and orphans of deceased veterans, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The basic purpose of the annual sale of Buddy Poppies <br />by the Veterans of Foreign Wars is eloquently reflected in the <br />desire to "Honor the Dead By Helping The Living"; therefore, <br /> <br />I, Emil Cedarholm, Mayor of the City of Roseville, do hereby recog- <br />nize the patriotic merits of this cause by urging the citizens of <br />this community to contribute generously to its support through the <br />purchase of Buddy Poppies, on the day (or days) set aside for the <br />distribution of these symbols of loyalty in this city. I urge all <br />patriotic citizens to wear a Buddy Poppy as mute evidence of our <br />gratitude to the men of this country who have risked their lives <br />in defense of the freedoms which we continue to enjoy as American <br />ci tizens. <br /> <br />7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION <br /> <br />Grauel Moved, Shields Seconded, that the minutes of the regular meeting MINUTES <br />of April 13, 1964, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes (4) - Nays (0). <br /> <br />Shields Moved, Grauel Seconded, that Rose Realty, Inc. be given <br />permission to build sanitary sewer on Eldridge Avenue from Fairview <br />Avenue east to the Cul-de-sac. Roll Call, Ayes (4) - Nays (0). <br /> <br />Curley Moved, Grauel Seconded, that Resolution No. 944 accepting the <br />feasibility report and ordering improvement on Street and Sanitary <br />Sewer Improvement 64-2 be adopted.
