<br />VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the Village Council - April 5, 1965. <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above date with the following <br />members present: Acting Mayor Curley, Trustees Goodrich, Grauel <br />and Shields. Absent: Mayor Cedarholm. <br /> <br />Goodrich MovedD Grauel Seconded. that the minutes of the regular <br />meeting of March 15, 1965, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes (4) - <br />Nays (0). <br /> <br />Grauel Movedo Goodrich Seconded, that the minutes of the special <br />meeting of March 22. 1965, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes (4) - <br />Nays (0). <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Curley opened the public hearing for proposed Street <br />Improvement 65=25 and 65-26. He requested that the Clerk present <br />the affidavits of publication and certificates of mailing on these <br />proposed improvements. <br /> <br />The Village Clerk presented an affidavit showing publication of <br />notice of hearing on proposed Improvement 65-25 (Commerce Street, <br />Pascal Avenue to Albert Street) and notice of hearing on proposed <br />Improvement 65-26 (Albert Street from County Road B to Commerce <br />Street) in accordance with resolution adopted March 8, 1965, which <br />affidavits were examined and found to be satisfactory and were <br />directed to be filed by the Clerk. The Village Clerk also exhibited <br />a certificate of mailing of notice of hearing for both proposed <br />improvements to all affected property owners which certificates <br />were examined and found to be satisfactory and were directed to be <br />filed by the Clerk. <br /> <br />The Mayor then directed the Clerk to read the description of the <br />general nature and estimated cost of the proposed improvements and <br />the area proposed to be assessed therefor as stated in the published <br />notices of hearing. After reading of the notices, all persons present <br />were afforded an opportunity to be heard. <br /> <br />No one appeared in connection with proposed Improvement 65-25 <br />(Commerce Street - Pascal Avenue to Albert Street). <br /> <br />The following persons appeared and were heard by the counci 1 in <br />regard to proposed Improvement 65-26 (Albert Street from County <br />Road B to Commerce Street) and the substance of the views presented <br />by them were as follows: <br /> <br />Mrs. Donald Homo 1397 West County Road B: Questioned how the <br />improvement would affect their taxes. Since the Council felt <br />there was no benefit, this .property was not to be assessed. <br /> <br />Mr. Philip Newberg. representing Golden Age Nursing Home, 1415 West <br />County Road B: Felt he was having a double assessment. <br /> <br />Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Wallgren, 2231 Hamline: Wanted to know what the <br />elevation of Albert Street would be and how it would affect their <br />property.
