<br />Regular Meeting of the Village Council, January 10, 1966.
<br />
<br />The Village Council met on the above date with the following
<br />members present: Mayor Cedarholm, Trustees Curley, Goodrich,
<br />Grauel and Shields.
<br />
<br />Grauel Moved, Curley Seconded, that the minutes of the meeting
<br />of December 13, 1965, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes (5) -
<br />Nays (0).
<br />
<br />Shields Moved, Grauel Seconde~, that the minutes of the meeting
<br />of December 20, 1965, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes (5) - Nays (0).
<br />
<br />Goodrich Moved,Grauel Seconded, that the public hearing on the
<br />Sheehy rezoning request at Lexington Avenue and County Road D
<br />be continued until February 14, 1966. Roll Call, Ayes (5) -
<br />Nays (0).
<br />
<br />Curley Moved, Shields Seconded, that the petition and request
<br />of Verde Haven Improvement Association be placed on file and
<br />referred to the Planning Commission and Recreation Board for
<br />a reconunendation. Roll Call, Ayes (5) - Nays', (0).
<br />
<br />Shields Moved, Grauel Seconded, that the Keller Corporation
<br />request for two variances, one for setback and the other for
<br />parking on the Southwest corner of Hamline and County Road B
<br />be approved providing that a 75% opaque fence 6 feet in height
<br />be constructed along the property on the west side plus approxi-
<br />mately 25 feet in an easterly direction from the southwest corner
<br />of the lot, the balance on the south side to be 4 feet in height.

<br />Curley Moved, Goodrich Seconded, that the rezoning request
<br />by Roberts Construction Company for property at 222 North
<br />McCarrons Boulevard be referred to the Planning Commission.

<br />Curley Moved, Grauel Seconded, that Trustee Shields be
<br />appointed Acting Mayor for the year 1966. Roll Call,
<br />Ayes (4) - Nays (0) - Abstentions (1), Trustee Shields
<br />abstaining.
<br />
<br />Grauel Moved, Curley Seconded, that Trustee Goodrich be
<br />appointed as delegate to the Ramsey County League of Munici-
<br />palities for 1966. Roll Call, Ayes (5) - Nays (0).
<br />
<br />Goodrich Moved, Grauel Seconded, that the Mayor's appointment
<br />of Raymond Goneau, Police Chief, as Civil Defense Director for
<br />1966 be ratified. Roll Call, Ayes (5) - Nays (0).
<br />
<br />Curley Moved, Grauel Seconded, that Edward Salverda be reappointed
<br />Electrical Inspector for the year 1966. Roll Call, Ayes (5) -
<br />Nays (0).
<br />
<br />Goodrich Moved, Curley Seconded, that James P. Nelson and
<br />George Membrez be reappointed as Chairman and Secretary
<br />respectively of the Planning Commission for the year 1966.
