<br />VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the Village Council, August 8, 1966. <br /> <br />7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above date with the following <br />members present: Mayor Cedarholm, Trustees Curley, Goodrich <br />and Grauel. Absent: Trustee Shields. <br /> <br />Curley Moved, Goodrich Seconded, that the minutes of the <br />regular meeting of July 18, 1966, be approved. Roll Call, <br />Ayes (3) - Nays (0) - Abstentions (1), Trustee Grauel abstaining. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />Curley Moved, Goodrich Seconded, that the minutes of the <br />special meeting of July 22, 1966, be approved. Roll Call, <br />Ayes (3) - Nays (0) - Abstentions (1), Trustee Grauel abstaining. <br /> <br />Grauel Moved, Goodrich Seconded, that the minutes of the special <br />meeting of July 25, 1966, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes (4) - <br />Nays (0). <br /> <br />Goodrich Moved, Grauel Seconded, that the minutes of the special <br />meeting of August 1, 1966, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes (4)- <br />Nays (0). <br /> <br />Grauel Moved, Curley Seconded, that the minutes of July 11, 1966, <br />be amended to read payment to Badger Meter Company of $9,700.57. <br />Roll Call, Ayes (4) - Nays (0). <br /> <br />CORRECTION <br /> <br />Mayor Cedarholm opened the public hearing on proposed Improvement <br />66-22 (construction of concrete curb and gutter and street surfacing <br />on Lovell Avenue between St. Albans and Grotto). <br /> <br />PUBLIC <br />HEARING <br />I MP ROVE MENT <br />66-22 <br /> <br />The Manager read the published notice of hearing and filed <br />certificate of mailing notices as required by state law. <br /> <br />The Manager presented a short summary of the improvement and the <br />method of financing it. <br /> <br />Mr. M. Jansen, 681 Lovell Avenue, spoke against the improvement <br />and informed the Council that a petition had been filed with the <br />Council signed by all the residents on the north side of Lovell <br />Avenue against the improvement. <br /> <br />Mr. Eo Palmer, 711 Lovell Avenue, also spoke against the improvement. <br /> <br />The following petition was filed opposing the improvement: <br /> <br />"We the undersigned, being owners of property situated <br />between St. Albans St. and Grotto on Lovell Avenue, with <br />the members of the Roseville City Council to know that we <br />are opposed to the proposed IMPROVEMENT 66-22 being the <br />paving of Lovell Ave between the center line of St. Albans <br />and the center line of Grotto including the installation <br />of conc rete curbs." <br /> <br />/s/ Mr. & Mrs. Florian Dostert, 727 Lovell Avenue <br />Mro & Mrs. M.
