<br />VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Regular meeting of the Village Council, January 9, 1967. <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above date with the following <br />members present: Mayor Cedarholm, Trustees Curley, Goodrich, <br />Grauel-and Shields. <br /> <br />Mayor Cedarholm made the following proclamation: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the civic bodies and service organizations of our <br />communi ty and the departments of the local govern- <br />ment recognize the great service rendered to this <br />community by the Roseville Jaycees, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The United States Jaycees and its affiliated state <br />and local organizations have set aside the week of <br />January 16-22, 1967, to observe the founding of the <br />Jaycees and to commemorate such founding by the <br />selection of an outstanding young man in this community <br />as the recipient of the Distinguished Service Award, <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this organization of young men has contributed <br />materially to the betterment of this community <br />throughout the year, <br /> <br />THEREFORE, I, Emil F. Cedarholm, Mayor of the Village of Roseville, <br />do hereby proclaim the week of January 16-22, 1967, as <br />JAYCEE WEEK and urge all citizens of our community to give <br />full consideration to the future of the Jaycees. <br /> <br />Grauel Moved, Shields Seconded, that the minutes of the meeting of <br />December 19, 1966, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes (5) - Nays (0). <br /> <br />Goodrich Moved, Grauel Seconded, that the Rules of Procedure for <br />1967 be adopted. Roll Call, Ayes (5) - Nays (0). <br /> <br />Curley Moved, Grauel Seconded, that James Shields be appointed <br />acting mayor. Roll Call, Ayes (5) - Nays (0). <br /> <br />Goodrich Moved, Curley Seconded, that the Planning Commission <br />liason member be Albert Grauel. Roll Call, Ayes (5) - Nays (0). <br /> <br />Shields Moved, Grauel Seconded, that Thomas Curley be reappointed <br />as liason member to the Recreation Board. Roll Call, Ayes (5) - <br />Nays (0). <br /> <br />Curley Moved, Grauel Seconded, that Resolution No. 1722 <br />appointing Norman Goodrich as delegate and Thomas Curley as an <br />alternate to the Ramsey County League of Municipalities be adopted. <br />Roll Call, Ayes (5) - Nays (0). <br /> <br />Goodrich Moved, Curley Seconded, that James Shields be appointed <br />delegate to the Metropolitan Section of the Minnesota League of <br />Municipalities.
