<br />VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the Village Council ~ October 9, 1967. <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above date with the following <br />members present: Mayor Cedarholm, Councilmen Curley, Grauel <br />and Shields. Absent: Councilman Goodrich, <br /> <br />Grauel Moved, Shields Seconded, that the minutes of the meeting <br />of September 25, 1967, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes (4) ~ Nays (0)0 <br /> <br />Grauel Moved, Curley Seconded, that Joseph Sills be appointed <br />Acting Manager October 9 through 12, 1967, during the absence of <br />Richard Turnlund who is attending the International City Managers <br />Association Conference in New Orleans. Roll Call, Ayes (4) - Nays (0). <br /> <br />Mayor Cedarholm opened the hearing on Storm Sewer Improvement 67~33. <br /> <br />The Acting Village Manager presented an affidavit showing publication <br />of notice of hearing on proposed Improvement 67~33 in accordance with <br />the resolution adopted September II, 1967, which affidavit was <br />examined and found to be satisfactory and was directed to be filed <br />by the Acting Village Manager. The Acting Village Manager also <br />exhibi ted a Certificate of Mailing Notice of Hearing to all affected <br />property owners, which certificate was examined and found to be <br />satisfactory and was directed to be filed by the Acting Manager. <br /> <br />The Mayor then directed the Acting Manager to read the description of <br />the general nature and estimated cost of the proposed improvement and <br />the area proposed to be assessed therefor, as stated in the published <br />notice of hearing. <br /> <br />The Acting Village Manager presented the financial aspect of the <br />improvement. <br /> <br />The Village Engineer presented the engineering details on the proposed <br />improvement. <br /> <br />Those persons desiring to be heard were afforded the opportunity and <br />the following appeared: <br /> <br />FLOYD SNYKER, Ramsey County Engineer's Office - stated a bituminous over~ <br />lay would be needed for West OWasso Boulevard and that the drainage problem <br />could be corrected in conjunction with the street construction. <br /> <br />GEORGE JAEGER, 3130 W. Owasso Boulevard... favored the improvement. <br /> <br />R. K. LEWIS, 3138 West Owasso Boulevard... favored the improvement. <br /> <br />JOHN STRAUSS, 3188 W. Owasso Boulevard... opposed the improvement. <br />Questioned if this would just take care of water collecting on the <br />street and whether there was a culvert in this area. <br /> <br />CLIFFORD WOOD, 3048 W. Owasso Boulevard... presented a petition of 47 <br />names opposing the improvement. <br /> <br />IVAN HARRIS, 3125 W.
