<br />VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the Village Council - January 15, 1968. <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above date with the following members <br />present: Mayor Moll, Councilmen Curley, Grauel, Linebarger and <br />Shields. <br /> <br />Grauel Moved, Linebarger Seconded, that the minutes of the meeting <br />of January 8,' 1968, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes (5) - Nays (0). <br /> <br />The Mayor made the following proclamation: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the strength of any community depends, to a marked <br />degree upon the spirit of civic pride engendered by <br />its citizens; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, people, harmoniously working together, can produce <br />achievements no one person could accomplish alone; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in Roseville, many fine groups, with diverse purposes <br />are helping to make our town a more interesting place <br />to live; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary for the community to focus attention <br />on the efforts and contributions of all volunteer <br />membership organizations in the North Suburban area; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, I, A. Donald Moll, Mayor of the Village of Roseville <br />call upon all of the people of Roseville to join me in <br />recognizing and saluting this important part of our <br />community circle - the Volunteer Organizations, and do <br />proclaim the week of January 21, 1968, to be Volunteer <br />Organization Week. <br /> <br />Curley Moved, Grauel Seconded, that the withdrawal of the E. H. <br />IHllmus Properties, Inc. request for rezoning from R-l to R-7, <br />special use permit and variance for property located on County Road <br />C between Western and Mackubin be approved; and that this area be <br />considered in the 701 Planning program. Roll Call, Ayes (5) - <br />Nays (0). <br /> <br />Grauel Moved, Shields Seconded, that the Roberts rezoning from R-l <br />to R-3 for property at 1750 Marion Street be continued and that public <br />notices be given to the effective property owners within 250 feet of <br />the property for any further public hearings at the Planning Commission <br />and Council meetings. Roll Call, Ayes (5) - Nays (0). <br /> <br />Shields Moved, Curley Seconded, that the Holcomb request for special <br />use permit for a Funeral Horne at 2240 North Albert Street be denied. <br />Roll Call, Ayes (3) - Nays (2), Mayor Moll and Councilman Linebarger <br />voting no. <br /> <br />Shields Moved, Grauel Seconded, that consideration of the Minnesota <br />Highway Department plans for interchange designs at Fairview and <br />Highway 36 and Snelling and County Road B-2 be continued until <br />cTanuary 29, 1968.
