VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE Regular Meeting of the Village Council - January 15, 1968. The Village Council met on the above date with the following members present: Mayor Moll, Councilmen Curley, Grauel, Linebarger and Shields. Grauel Moved, Linebarger Seconded, that the minutes of the meeting of January 8,' 1968, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes (5) - Nays (0). The Mayor made the following proclamation: WHEREAS, the strength of any community depends, to a marked degree upon the spirit of civic pride engendered by its citizens; WHEREAS, people, harmoniously working together, can produce achievements no one person could accomplish alone; WHEREAS, in Roseville, many fine groups, with diverse purposes are helping to make our town a more interesting place to live; WHEREAS, it is necessary for the community to focus attention on the efforts and contributions of all volunteer membership organizations in the North Suburban area; NOW, THEREFORE, I, A. Donald Moll, Mayor of the Village of Roseville call upon all of the people of Roseville to join me in recognizing and saluting this important part of our community circle - the Volunteer Organizations, and do proclaim the week of January 21, 1968, to be Volunteer Organization Week. Curley Moved, Grauel Seconded, that the withdrawal of the E. H. IHllmus Properties, Inc. request for rezoning from R-l to R-7, special use permit and variance for property located on County Road C between Western and Mackubin be approved; and that this area be considered in the 701 Planning program. Roll Call, Ayes (5) - Nays (0). Grauel Moved, Shields Seconded, that the Roberts rezoning from R-l to R-3 for property at 1750 Marion Street be continued and that public notices be given to the effective property owners within 250 feet of the property for any further public hearings at the Planning Commission and Council meetings. Roll Call, Ayes (5) - Nays (0). Shields Moved, Curley Seconded, that the Holcomb request for special use permit for a Funeral Horne at 2240 North Albert Street be denied. Roll Call, Ayes (3) - Nays (2), Mayor Moll and Councilman Linebarger voting no. Shields Moved, Grauel Seconded, that consideration of the Minnesota Highway Department plans for interchange designs at Fairview and Highway 36 and Snelling and County Road B-2 be continued until cTanuary 29, 1968.
