Mr. Raymond, Village Manager, indicated that he had received
a written communication from Mr. Theodore Glasrud, president of
Ban-Con. Ban-Con has petitioned to have property adjoining Aladdin
re-zoned to R-6 to permit them to erect townhouses. If Ban-Con does
erect townhouses it will complete the improvements at its expense for
water and street surfacing providing the easterly 20 feet of the
street is vacated, and that some provision be made to restrict access
to the property adjoining, owned by the Legion Club. They feel the
Legion Club should join in the expense unless access to the street
is restricted.

MR. CHARLES SOUTTER, Adjutant for Rosetown Legion Post No. 542:
He said that they failed to see any benefit that would be derived by
the Legion by the construction of the project. He indicated that he
didn't quite understand what part of the street Ban-Con was asking
to be vacated or just what effect that would have on the Legion.

MR. HARRIS MALLORY, 2576 N. Grotto Street: Asked what depth
the lots would be if the 20 foot strip were vacated.

MR. DOUGLAS SHANK, 730 Rose Place: Asked what he would be
assessed for. He's already connected to water and sanitary sewer
and would be assessed only for street and curb and gutter. Asked
what benefit the cllrb and gu tter would be on that side of his house.

MR. HARRIS MALLORY, 2576 N. Grotto Street: Asked if the size
of the sewer line and water main depended on the number of people to
be served. Also asked if it was now the policy of the village to
install concrete curb and gutters rather than black top.

MR. ALFRED J. SCHOENTHALER, 751 Rose Place: He understood
that one of the prime considerations of the Council in connection
with improvements was traffic problems as far as children in the area
are concerned. He mentioned that there is only one entry into the
improvement area. Mayor Moll informed him that there would be a
re-zoning hearing in April and that would be the appropriate time to
discuss the matter.

MR. HARRIS MALLORY, 2576 N. Grotto Street: Asked how the lots
would be graded or filled and was informed that this too would be
discussed at the re-zoning hearing.
