<br />The Mayor then directed the Manager to read the des- <br /> <br />cription of the general nature and estimated cost of the <br /> <br />proposed improvement and the area proposed to be assessed <br /> <br />therefor, as stated in the published notice of hearing. <br /> <br />After reading of the notice, all persons present were <br /> <br />afforded opportunity to be heard, and the names and addresses <br /> <br />of the persons appearing and heard by the Council, and the <br /> <br />substance of the views presented by them were as follows: <br /> <br />MR. RICHARD KAVANEY, attorney representing Rose <br />Building Corporation: State Farm Boulevard is private <br />property and they have not been contacted by the village <br />about the improvement nor have any negotiations been commenced. <br />Object to the Improvement. The design of the curb and gutter <br />proposed would have a significant effect in serving their <br />truck docks for the Target store and Applebaums grocery store <br />located on Rose Building Corporation property. The improve- <br />ment will seriously limit their business operation and they <br />will take legal steps to stop the improvement. Further, <br />since the. traffic on the street is through traffic, there is <br />no justification for assessing the abutting property owners. <br /> <br />MR. STEVEN PETERSON, represen:ting DeLu:~e Check printe:r:-s: <br />Indicated that they had the same objections and would like to <br />be i.ncluded in any discussions between the village and Rose <br />Building Corporation. <br /> <br />MR. BURKE M. RAYMOND, village manager, presented a letter <br />received from the Steenberg Construction Co. indicating that <br />"State Farm Road" is owned by Roce Building Corporation and <br />not by the Village of Roseville. It was also suggested that a <br />meeting be scheduled betwoen the Village Manager and Mr. <br />Walsh of Steenberg Construction before the public hearing on <br />April 26th to discuss this matter. <br /> <br />MR. MERRILL SUNDHOLM, representing Applebaum's grocery <br />store: Indicated that they would like to be included in any <br />discussions with the village. <br />
