<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City <br />council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly <br />held on the 11th day of February, 1991, at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Thomas, Cushman, Johnson, Maschka, <br />and Rog, and the following were absent: None. <br /> <br />Member Thomas introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 8658 <br />RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE VOLUNTARY INTEGRATION OF <br />THE ST. PAUL AND ROSEVILLE AREA SCHOOL SYSTEMS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the st. Paul and Roseville Area Schools are formulating a <br />plan for voluntary integration of their school systems; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the integration of the school systems will provide all <br />students with the opportunity to experience cultural diversity; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, learning to work and play with people of different races, <br />backgrounds, and values will help our children to succeed in a <br />culturally diverse environment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, parents, students, teachers, school board members, and school <br />administrators have been involved in designing a community based plan <br />for voluntary integration; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the city council of the city of <br />Roseville does support the efforts of the st. Paul and Roseville Area <br />Schools to develop a plan for voluntary integration of their two <br />school systems. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Member Maschka, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the <br />following voted in favor thereof: Thomas, Cushman, Johnson, Maschka, <br />and Rog, and the following voted against the same: None. <br /> <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA) <br />) SS <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY ) <br /> <br />I, the undersigned, being the duly qualified city Manager of the City <br />of Roseville, County of Ramsey, State of Minnesota, do hereby certify <br />that I have carefully compared the attached and foregoing extract of <br />minutes of a regular meeting of said City Council held on the 11th day <br />of February, 1991, with the original thereof on file in my office. <br /> <br />WITNESSµY HAND officially as such Manager this 12th day of February, <br />:991. <br /> <br />SEAL <br /> <br />st~nager <br />
