going in and as he sold the lot:s, each lot owner wos
~ssessed (inaudible) amount of dollars for the improvements
so the people who want to develop the land (inaudible) let them
pay for the assessment as theylre buying their lot. Now, the
idea of raising horses is something else. Something came through
about 15 years ago that ~"'e would not roise animals in Roseville,
and welve had sheep and goats, and maybe weld be better to
have that. open space and let the cattle roam and use it for
that instead of going through '.li th all this so-called improve-
ments to benefit someone who really owns some ill-fated land
that really doesnlt have any use - only to his pocket bo~k -
because the little money lId get for that lot - really I don't
care about because I wont to keep the lot for myself. The
intention when I bought, was so lId have a little area for the
kids as they were growing up and if I was trying to make a
million dollars on the lot (inaudible) retain it and never sell it.
If he wants to buy it, I1II take it right now, but I feel as
a home owner - \lhy should we have to go to his benefit and aid
him?

MR. LE ROY PEICKERT, 845 Brenner: How ~uch is that land
worth without the roads in it?

MR. HONCHELL: I couldnlt tell you. Open Space had it
appraised and there seemed to be considerable difference
of opinion.

Y.lR. PEICKERT: How much?

MR. HONCHELL: $300,000 plus.

MR. PEICKERT: To develop it, it costs $500,000.
Another thing - the pond is ridiculous. Theylre going to split
my lot up. But they go back every year to spray for
mosquitos. Now, they'll spray the pond. T(hat are you going
to do with the mosauitoes now. DO you know what they were
doing before?

MR. HONCHELL~ The idea is to have a deeper standing water
situation so it would not be the sprawling, wet area, and by
brin~ing fill in, ~ake it useful and have a smaller wet area
rather than an intermediate wet area.

-18-
