<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City <br />Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly <br />held on the 25th day of February, 1991, at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Thomas, Cushman, Johnson, Maschka, <br />and Rog, and the following were absent: None. <br /> <br />Member Cushman introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 8663 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF COMMITMENT TO PROVIDE FUNDS EQUAL TO THOSE <br />PROVIDED BY THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL FOR THE PURCHASE OF <br />10,000 RECYCLING CONTAINERS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is committed to residential waste abatement <br />through its curbside recycling program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in order to improve Roseville's curbside recycling program, <br />the City Council will provide residents with recycling containers so <br />as to increase participation, identity, convenience, curbside <br />orderliness, and waste abatement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has grant monies available through <br />its Metropolitan Landfill Abatement Account FY '91 Grant Program for <br />the purchase of recycling containers; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of Roseville, <br />Minnesota, that the City Manager is authorized to submit a grant <br />application to the Metropolitan Council for the purchase of 10,000 <br />recycling containers for use by Roseville residents. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the city Council of the City of Roseville <br />hereby commits to supply matching funds for the purchase of 10,000 <br />recycling containers contingent upon receipt of a grant from the <br />Metropolitan Council. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Member Johnson, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the <br />following voted in favor thereof: Thomas, Cushman, Johnson, Maschka, <br />and Rog, and the following voted against the same: None. <br /> <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
