<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br />ofRoseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 8th day of November, <br />2004, at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Schroeder, Kough, Maschka, Ihlan and Klausing. <br /> <br />and the following were absent; none. <br /> <br />Member Maschka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION No. 10258 <br />Resolution Requesting the Minnesota Department of Transportation to Reconsider <br />the Closure of the Median Crossover on Snelling Avenue at Oakcrest Street <br /> <br />WHEREAS The City Council of the City of Roseville understands that the Minnesota <br />Department of Transportation is proposing to close the median crossover on Snelling <br />Avenue, South of County Road C; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS residents and business owners in the vicinity have submitted a petition and <br />verbal comments opposing the proposed closure (see attached); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS residents and business owners believe this crossover does not present a <br />traffic hazard and that closing the crossover will be detrimental to nearby residents and <br />business owners; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Roseville <br />formally urges the Minnesota Department of Transportation to reconsider the closure of <br />the Snelling crossover in light of the attached input of nearby residents and business <br />owners; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City COlU1Cil ofRoseville formally requests the <br />Minnesota Department of Transportation, before proceeding with the closure of the <br />crossover, to conduct a public meeting at Roseville City Hall to allow nearby residents <br />and business owners to present information and public comment. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member <br />Kough, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: Schroeder, <br />Kough, Maschka, llilan and Klausing, and the following voted against the same: none. <br /> <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
