<br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the City Council - April 14, 1980. <br /> <br />The City Council met on the above date with the following <br />members present: Mayor Demos, Councilmen Curley, Anderson, <br />Kehr and Franke. <br /> <br />A-1 Kehr Moved, Franke Seconded, that the minutes of the regular <br />meeting of March 24, 1980, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes: <br />Curley, Anderson, Kehr, Franke and Demos. Nays: None. <br /> <br />Anderson Moved, Curley Seconded, that the minutes of the special <br />meeting of April 7, 1980, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes: Curley, <br />Anderson, Kehr, Franke and Demos. Nays: None. <br /> <br />Kehr Moved, Franke Seconded, that the Council join the Mayor in <br />proclaiming April 20 - 26, 1980 as "Minnesota Volunteer Recogni- <br />tion Week" in the City of Rosevi11e. Roll Call, Ayes: Curley, <br />Anderson, Kehr, Franke and Demos. Nays: None. <br /> <br />B-1 Anderson Moved, Kehr Seconded, that Resolution No. 6939 order- <br />ing the improvement of Skillman Avenue from Fairview Avenue to <br />Snelling Avenue, identified as City Improvement P-79-2; and <br />authorizing the preparation of plans for this project be adopted; <br />and further that the City administration seek neighborhood input <br />in studying the feasibility of a parallel pathway, and in conduct- <br />ing post construction traffic control study; and further in accord- <br />ance with MSA standards parking shall be prohibited on one side of <br />the roadway. Roll Call, Ayes: Curley, Anderson, Kehr, Franke and <br />Demos. Nays: None. <br /> <br />B-2 Curley Moved, Kehr Seconded, that Mue11er-Bies Funeral Home, Inc. <br />request for rezoning from R-1 to B-1, special use permit and <br />planned unit development at 475 Minnesota be approved with the <br />following conditions: <br /> <br />1. That if it is determined by the City that additional <br />parking is required, the applicant shall apply for an <br />amended special use permit for planned unit development <br />and the Planning Commission and City Council shall con- <br />duct hearings on the request. <br /> <br />2. That the use of the property be limited to a funeral home. <br /> <br />3. That the width of the entrance driveway be increased:to <br />18 feet. <br /> <br />4; That the additional right-of-way required for the western <br />portion of the circle of the cul de sac be dedicated by <br />the applicant. <br /> <br />Further, that Mue1ler-Bies request for vacation of right-of-way <br />at 475 Minnesota be denied. Roll Call, Ayes: Curley, Kehr and <br />Demos. Nays: Anderson and Franke.
