2

MR. POPOVICH: The total cost was $43,587.74 of which
it's recommended that $42,065.42 be spread by special assess-
ments and the remainder of $1,522.31 be paid on general
taxes. The reason for that is there are two side lot owners
where the assessment is 25% and only 10% on the frontage, so
the rest is picked up under the City policy on general taxes.
The rate is $60.29 a front foot.

This was also part of the bond issue so that the assess-
ments at the rate of 8.63% on the carrying charge, if it isn't
prepaid, should be determined, and it should be spread over
the 20-year period we're recon~ending.

There were no written communications.

Mayor Demos announced that the meeting was open for the
consideration of objections, if any, to said proposed assessment.
All persons present were given the opportunity to present oral
objections.

No one appeared to be heard.

MR. HONCHELL: I did talk to Millie Rider this evening
concerning all of her assessments. She said she was not going
to attend, had no objection and if anyone was looking for a
lot she had some to sell now.

Mayor Demos declared the hearing closed, and Councilman
Anderson moved that the adoption of the proposed assessment be
continued to September 8, 1980 at 7:30 o'clock p. ID. The
motion was seconded by Councilman Kehr and the following voted
in favor thereof: AlIi and the following voted against: None.
The motion carried.
