POPOVICH: The to tal cost of this improvement was
$187,083.10. Of that total amount $13,728 will be raised by
special assessments, and the balance will come from State
Aids and general taxes.

The residential lots are not assessed because they're
on a State Aid Street, and the apartments will be assessed
at $108.27 a front foot and this will be spread over 20
years with the usual carrying charge.

There were no writ ten communications.

Mayor Demos announced that the meeting was open for the
consideration of objections, if any, to said proposed assessment.
All persons present were given the opportunity to present oral
objections.

MR. HENRY JENSEN, 2950 Highcrest Road: Said he owns one
of the lots that is being assessed, and asked why his assessment
was so high. Mr. Honchell explained that Mr. Jensen's lot is
not a normal, rectangular lot, and on irregular shaped lots
the City takes the area of the lot and divides it by the average
depth to make a normal shape out of it which is what they then
use to determine the assessable frontage.

No one else wished to be heard.

Councilman Anderson then moved that the hearing be continued
to September B at 7:30 o'clock p. m. The motion was seconded
by Councilman Kehr and the following voted in favor thereof:
AlIi and the following voted against: None. The motion carried.
