2

lots that did not have the necessary utilities already
existing, so since we were building the roadway and didn't want
to tear it up upon activity to these vacant lots, the utilities
were put in place at the same time.

MR. POPOVICH: This total cost was $185,237.50 of which
$60,564.79 will be collected by assessments, according to the
recomruendation. The sewer services and the water services
are 100% assessed.

One property owner asked for a larger sewer service and his
assessment will be higher because of the improvement that he
requested over and above the other two individuals who are
getting the sewer service.

One water service will be 100% assessed, and since this is
on a State Aid Street, there will be no assessments on the
residential property, and the property zoned industrial will
be $66.10 per foot for $53,312.56 - and that's the Williams
Bros. Pipeline and Johnson Bros. Warehouse, so $53,000 of the
$60,000 will be picked up by the industrial and the balance from
the residential. It will be spread over 20 years with the normal
carrying charge and the right of prepayment.

There were no written communications.

Mayor Demos announced that the meeting was open for the
consideration of objections, if any, to said proposed assessment.
All persons present were given the opportunity to present oral
objections.

No one appeared to be heard.

Mayor Demos declared the hearing closed, and Councilman
Kehr moved that the adoption of the proposed assessment be
continued to September 8, 1980 at 7:30 o'clock p. m.
