<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City <br />Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly <br />held on the 25th day of March, 1990, at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Cushman, Maschka, Johnson, Thomas, <br />and Rog, and the following were absent: None. <br /> <br />Member Cushman introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 8672 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RELATING TO OPPORTUNITIES FOR COOPERATION STUDY <br />WITH THE CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Falcon Heights City council, in April, 1990, adopted a <br />resolution inviting Roseville to ]oJ.n in a cooperative effort to <br />explore areas of potential benefit to both communities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville City council adopted a resolution agreeing to <br />investigate cooperative efforts with the city of Falcon Heights; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the city Councils have met jointly on three occasions to <br />review a process for the study of the benefits of joint efforts and to <br />interview consultants to conduct a study; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Councils agreed to apply for a loan from the Metro- <br />politan Council for $38,100 to assist in paying the cost of the study; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council approved the loan on March 14, 1991; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the loan shall be paid 50 percent by Falcon Heights and 50 <br />percent by Roseville. If the study shows an overwhelming majority of <br />benefits accruing to one community, it is agreed by both communities <br />that they will review whether that community shall pay a higher per- <br />centage of the loan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the city of Roseville desires to proceed with a study to <br />explore the opportunities for cooperation; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the city Council of the city of <br />Roseville that the Mayor and City Manager be authorized to sign an <br />agreement with the Metropolitan Council for a $38,100 loan; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Roseville and the city of <br />Falcon Heights will each pay $19,050 of the loan: and <br />
