3 MR. HONCHELL: Each street is different and it would depend on traffic, grade, etc. MR. SCHMIDT: I'm for the improvement. A lot of people have been bragging that they have been Roseville residents for 25 or 30 years. That's good, and makes a community. We have been residents for four years. We didn't pay much attention to the street, but if what has happened the last four years as far as the deterioration of the street, happens in the next four years (inaudible) At the entrance to St. Rose parking lot they have these humps to encourage people to slow down. That hump is not terribly unlike most of the street that Burke Avenue is. Secondly, our street, during rain storms, particularly from the middle of the street to the west, is affectionately referred to as Burke River. Where we live, just a couple houses to the east, we have a pond in there that's six to eight feet in diameter and four inches deep after a good rain, and it usually stays that way a week or two. Another thing that's quite discouraging is to see people come to visit and park and they pull on to the lawns. It's a little discouraging to see people pull on the lawns and see tire marks. I think, finally, the main thing we should keep in mind, all of us should be proud of our neighborhood, and I'm sure most of the people on our block - if a portion of their property was in the dispicable condition that street is, they would have it changed. In fact, in the last year we have had people take out their driveways (inaudible) the driveways looked good compared to the street. If we want to be proud of our homes and yards I think we should move toward this and that's why I'm strongly in favor of improving the street. MR. RICHARD FOX, 1408 West County Road B: I don't understand the feeling of the engineering department on why the people on County Road B should be assessed for storm sewers on Burke Avenue. MR. HONCHELL: I will be happy to review that again. The properties that face County Road B, generally speaking; the front of the property drains toward County Road B. The rear drains to the common lot line (inaudible) along Burke Avenue. The drainage then is prevailing to the west to the point where it comes out along that lot line. MR. FOX: That's been built up so much with fences and shrubbery in the last 25 years there's no way it will move unless you put catch basins in the back by the telephone pole. You already have drainage on Pascal. If you have a catch basin on Pascal which drains to County Road B, why do you have to put another one in and assess us for it?
