to make on this one. I'll answer any questions that come.

MR. POPOVICH: Mayor and members of the Council, the total
cost of this improvement is $107,407.06. Based upon what Mr.
Honchell said, $71,893.28 of that will be picked up by State aid
funds or on the general tax roll. The balance, or $35,513.78,
will be assessed. For those properties being assessed, the
street cost is $75.38 per front foot, the sanitary sewer is
$31.67. If sanitary sewer services are needed, it's $543.13 for
each sanitary sewer service from the street to the property line.
Water services are $637.15. It is proposed to assess this at
the carrying charge of 8% because this came under prior to when
all the interest rates went higher. It will be spread over the
period of time indicated in the notice, which I recall is 20
years, or is it 15? We went to 15 on this. Obviously they
have the right to prepay within 30 days after the adoption of
the assessment roll and save all interest charges. Otherwise it
will be collected with their real estate taxes beginning next
yea r .

There were no communications.

MAYOR DEMOS announced that the meeting was open for the
consideration of objections, if any, to said proposed assessment.
All persons present were given the opportunity to present oral
objections.

No one appeared to be heard.

Mayor Demos declared the hearing closed and Councilmen
Kehr moved that the adoption of the proposed assessment be con-
tinued to September 24, 1981, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. The motion
was seconded by Councilman Franke and the following voted in
favor thereof: All; and the following voted against the same:
None. The motion carried.

3
