<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting on the City <br />Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly held in the City <br />Hall on the eighth day of April, 1991, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Maschka, Thomas, Johnson, Cushman, <br />and Rog <br /> <br />and the following were absent: None. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cushman introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTIONS NO. 8675 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR 1991 DISEASED TREE CONTRACT <br /> <br />Whereas, pursuant to advertisement for bids for the removal of diseased <br />trees according to the plans and specifications thereof on file in the <br />office of the Manager of said City, said bids were received on April 2, <br />1991, at 11:30 a.m., opened and tabulated according to law and the <br />following bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br /> <br />BIDDER UNIT PRICE TOTAL BID <br />A-1 Walsh $8.29 per diameter inch $29,844 <br />Buck Tree Service $8.54 per diameter inch $30,750 <br />Ceres Tree Service $9.29 per diameter inch $33,444 <br />Bluemel Tree Service $9.40 per diameter inch $33,840 <br />Arps Tree Service $9.54 per diameter inch $34,344 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it appears that Buck Tree Service is the lowest responsible <br />bidder at the tabulated price of $30,750; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, Minnesota: <br /> <br />1. The low bid of A-1 Walsh Tree Service is hereby rejected. <br /> <br />2. The Mayor and Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter <br />into a contract with Buck Tree Service, the second lowest bidder, <br />for $30,750 in the name of the City of Roseville for the removal of <br />diseased trees according to the specifications thereof heretofore <br />approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City <br />Manager. <br /> <br />3. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to return <br />forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids except <br />the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder <br />shall be retained until contracts have been signed. <br />
