<br />E-4 Kehr Moved, Franke Seconded, that the City Manager's recommenda-
<br />tions to offset reductions in 1982 State aids as presented in a
<br />report dated April 2, 1982, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes:

<br />E-5 Kehr Moved, Johnson Seconded, that Precision Landscape, with a
<br />bid of $4.60 per inch, be approved as low bidder for the re-
<br />moval of trees on public property for 1982. Roll Call, Ayes:
<br />Johnson, Kehr, Franke, and Demos. Nays: None.

<br />E-6 Johnson Moved, Kehr Seconded, that the staff be authorized to
<br />negotiate joint powers agreements to potentially lead to
<br />installation of Opticom facilities at Fairview Avenue and the
<br />Rosedale exits and on County Road B-2 at the southbound
<br />Snelling exit, identified as improvement M-82-11. Roll Call,
<br />Ayes: Johnson, Kehr, Franke, and Demos. Nays: None.

<br />E-7 Kehr Moved, Johnson Seconded, that Resolution No. 7338, termin-
<br />ating project ST-P-81-11, Glenhill Road, be adopted. Roll
<br />Call, Ayes: Johnson, Kehr, Franke, and Demos. Nays: None.

<br />E-8 Johnson Moved, Kehr Seconded, that the City Attorney be
<br />authorized to work on amendments to the City Code and
<br />policies concerning bench signs, newspaper vending machines,
<br />driveway approaches, and parking locations which are in the
<br />public boulevard areas. Roll Call, Ayes: Johnson, Kehr,
<br />Franke, and Demos. Nays: None.

<br />E-9 Kehr Moved, Franke Seconded, that the 1982 capital improve-
<br />ments for park development be approved.
<br />
<br />1) Parking lot construction in Central Park near Lexington,
<br />$10,000.
<br />2) Grading, seeding, and sodding near amphitheatre and hard
<br />surface trails, $10,000.
<br />3) Complete Boardwalk nature trail, $10,000.
<br />4) Trails on north portion of Langton Lake, $5,000.
<br />5) Development of American Legion ballfield, $15,000.*
<br />
<br />* The agreement between the American Legion and the City has
<br />not been signed, and the expenditure of said funds would
<br />not occur until the property has been transferred to the
<br />City.
