<br />Regular meeting of the City Council -- February 29, 1988

<br />The city Council met on the above date with the following
<br />members present: Johnson, Matson, Cushman, Kehr, and Rog.
<br />Members absent: None.
<br />
<br />Matson moved, Kehr seconded, that the city council proclaim
<br />April 9, 10, and 11, 1988, as Vision Care Days. Roll Call,
<br />Ayes: Johnson,Matson, Cushman, Kehr, Rog. Nays: None.
<br />
<br />Matson moved, Kehr seconded, that the city council proclaim
<br />the week of March 6 through March 13, 1988, as Volunteers of
<br />America Week. Roll Call, Ayes: Johnson, Matson, Cushman,
<br />Kehr, Rog. Nays: None.

<br />Matson moved, Kehr seconded, that the city council proclaim
<br />the week of March 13 through March 20, 1988, as Camp Fire
<br />Birthday week. Roll Call, Ayes: Johnson, Matson, Cushman,
<br />Kehr, Rog. Nays: None.

<br />Kehr moved, Cushman seconded, that the minutes of the regular
<br />meeting of February 8, 1988, be approved with the following
<br />correction.

<br />Item B-1 -- Add reason for denial No.9.

<br />No significant hardship was shown by the
<br />developer to demonstrate the need for the
<br />property to be rezoned from R-1, single-
<br />family residential.

<br />Kehr moved, Matson seconded, that the minutes of the special

<br />because they were absent.

<br />B-1 Matson moved, Johnson seconded, that the construction of
<br />Project M-88-06, pathway on both sides of County Road B
<br />from Snelling Avenue to Hamline Avenue be approved.
<br />Roll Call, Ayes: Johnson, Matson, Cushman, Kehr, Rog.
<br />Nays: None.

<br />C-1 Cushman moved, Johnson seconded, that the regular March
<br />council work session be rescheduled from March 21, 1988,
<br />to Tuesday, March 29, 1988, beginning at 5:00 p.m. in
<br />the city hall. Roll Call, Ayes: Johnson, Matson,
<br />Cushman, Kehr, Rog. Nays: None.

<br />Cushman moved, Johnson seconded, that a council work
<br />session be established for Monday, March 14, 1988, at
<br />4:00 p.m. for the purpose of reviewing presentations
<br />from professional fund raisers in regard to the proposed
<br />community recreation center. Roll Call, Ayes: Johnson,
<br />Matson, Cushman, Kehr, Rog. Nays: None.
