<br />The city Council met on the above date with the following
<br />members present: Cushman, Matson, Kehr, Johnson, and Rog.

<br />A. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
<br />A-1 Kehr moved, Matson seconded, that the minutes of the MINUTES
<br />regular meeting of June 12, 1989 be approved. Roll
<br />Call, Ayes: Cushman, Matson, Kehr, Johnson, and Rog.
<br />Nays: None.
<br />
<br />The certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial
<br />Reporting for Fiscal Year 1987 from the Government Finance
<br />Officers Association of the u.s. was presented to the City
<br />of Roseville. This certificate is the highest form of
<br />recognition for state and local governments, and has been
<br />received for nine consecutive years by the City.
<br />
<br />The American Heart Association, represented by Joe Grafft,
<br />presented a Distinguished Service Award to Kimberly Strong,
<br />daughter of Doug Strong who is a member of Roseville's
<br />Engineering staff, for using CPR skills to save a person's
<br />life.

<br />honoring Duane Elliott on his retirement from Short,
<br />Elliott, Hendrickson Inc., be adopted. Roll Call,

<br />None.

<br />B-2 Cushman moved, Matson seconded, that the following BLANKET MINOR
<br />blanket minor variances relating to street improvement VARIANCES
<br />projects be approved:

<br />1. Deon Stuthman request for a five foot variance at
<br />1885 Fernwood Avenue.
<br />
<br />2. Kenneth Rohleder request for a three foot variance
<br />at 1768 Shorewood Curve.
<br />
