<br />Thomas moved, Cushman seconded, that the st. Paul
<br />Winter Carnival's request to hold their annual soft-
<br />ball tournament on McCarrons Lake, located in the city
<br />of Roseville, on Saturday and Sunday, February 1 and
<br />2, 1991, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes: Cushman,
<br />Thomas, Johnson, Maschka, and Rog. Nays: None.

<br />ORGANIZATIONAL BUSINESS
<br />Johnson moved, Maschka seconded, that Thelma McKenzie,
<br />2855 Matilda, Roseville, Minnesota, be appointed to
<br />the Human Rights Commission to fill an unexpired term
<br />ending March 31, 1993. Roll Call, Ayes: Cushman,
<br />Thomas, Johnson, Maschka, and Rog. Nays: None.

<br />Johnson moved, Maschka seconded, that John L. Saylor,
<br />2071 Midlothian Road, be appointed to the Parks and
<br />Recreation Commission to fill an unexpired term ending
<br />March 31, 1992. Roll Call, Ayes: Cushman, Thomas,
<br />Johnson, Maschka, and Rog. Nays: None.

<br />Cushman moved, Johnson seconded, that a City Council
<br />work session be established for Monday, December 2,
<br />1991, beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the city Hall, for the
<br />purpose of meeting jointly with the Planning Commis-
<br />sion to review the minor variance process, sign
<br />ordinances, and the prelimina~y transportation study
<br />prepared by BRW. Roll Call, Ayes: Cushman, Thomas,
<br />Johnson, Maschka, and Rog. Nays: None.

<br />Johnson moved, Thomas seconded, that the regular city
<br />council work session scheduled for Monday, January 20,
<br />1992, be rescheduled to Tuesday, January 21, because
<br />of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Roll Call, Ayes:
<br />Cushman, Thomas, Johnson, Maschka, and Rog. Nays:
<br />None.

<br />Johnson moved, Thomas seconded, that the regular city
<br />Council work session scheduled for Monday, February 17,
<br />1992, be rescheduled to Tuesday, February 18, because
<br />of President's Day. Roll Call, Ayes: Cushman, Thomas,
<br />Johnson, Maschka, and Rog. Nays: None.

<br />REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
<br />Thomas moved, Maschka seconded, that Theodore Brau-
<br />sen's request for a general concept Planned Unit
<br />Development plan at 2164 and 2180 N. Dale Street be
<br />approved as shown on plans submitted, with the condi-
<br />tion that staff may review location of the blower as
<br />well as require noise baffling of equipment in the car
<br />wash area to protect the interest of the apartment
<br />residents. Roll Call, Ayes: Cushman, Thomas, Johnson,
<br />Maschka, and Rog. Nays: None.
