<br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Regular meeting of the City Council - December 14, 1992. 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />The city council met on the above date with the following ROLL CALL <br />members present: Thomas, P. Johnson, Maschka, Cushman, and <br />V. Johnson. Members absent: None. <br /> <br />A. <br />A-1 <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />P. Johnson moved, Cushman seconded, that the minutes <br />of the regular meeting of November 23, 1992 be <br />approved. Roll Call, Ayes: Thomas, P. Johnson, <br />Maschka, Cushman, and V. Johnson. Nays: None. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />Bill Olein was presented with a certificate by the City Council in <br />recognition for his efforts in saving the life of fellow employee <br />Doug strong. <br /> <br />Mr. Ed Reid, President, Roselawn Cemetery Board of Directors was <br />recognized for the contribution of Roselawn Cemetery leasing 35 acres <br />of undeveloped property to the City of Roseville for City purposes. <br /> <br />The Roseville Human Rights Commission Essay Contest Award winners <br />were introduced--Brandon Peterson, First Place ($50); Paul Talbot, <br />Second Place ($35); and Melanie Lo, Third Place ($20). Honorable <br />Mention Certificates were presented to: Kirsten Anderson, Erin <br />Collins, Brian Edquist, Adam Huot, Robert King, Christie Matts, <br />Bryan Orf, Jortack Pablo, Mike Peterson, Bill Prouty, Sara Sertich, <br />and Philippa Stelter. <br /> <br />B. CONSENT AGENDA <br />Cushman moved, Maschka seconded, that the Consent CONSENT <br />Agenda, Items B-1 through B-5, B-8, B-10 and B-11, be AGENDA <br />approved. Roll Call, Ayes: Thomas, P. Johnson, <br />Maschka, Cushman, and V. Johnson. Nays: None. <br /> <br />B-1 <br /> <br />B-2 <br /> <br />Cushman moved, Maschka seconded, that the Mayor and <br />city Manager be authorized to sign the lease with <br />Roselawn Cemetery. Roll Call, Ayes: Thomas, P. <br />Johnson, Maschka, Cushman, and V. Johnson. Nays: <br />None. <br /> <br />Cushman moved, Maschka seconded, that the Ethics <br />Commission recommendation to dismiss the complaint of <br />Mr. Robert Tranquillo, dated October 26, 1992, be <br />approved. Roll call, Ayes: Thomas, P. Johnson, <br />Maschka, Cushman, and V. Johnson. Nays: None. <br /> <br />ROSELAWN <br />CEMETERY <br /> <br />ETHICS <br />COMMISSION <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />B-3 Cushman moved, Maschka seconded, that Daryl Hansen's DARYL HANSEN <br />request, on behalf of Dr. David Hopstock, for minor <br />variances at 2126 S. Rosewood Lane, to allow the <br />Hopstocks' to expand their existing dwelling by adding <br />a family room and an attached three car garage, be <br />approved. The proposed three car garage will have a <br />19 foot setback from Hythe Street instead of the <br />required 30 feet. Roll Call, Ayes: Thomas, P. Johnson, <br />Maschka, Cushman, and V. Johnson. Nays: None. <br />
