Applicant indicated they would <br />comply with landlord and City regulations. Goedeke also asked <br />about the State of Minnesota background check. Applicant stated <br />that he has complied with all Minnesota requirements. <br />Maschka moved, Mastel seconded, by motion, to approve the <br />request by Cash Station to operate a currency exchange <br />business under the name MoneyExchange at 1745 Lexington <br />Avenue. City <br />Roselawn Cemetery <br />Manager reviewed the three options outlined in the Staff Report. <br />Crematorium <br />City Attorney explained the details of the third option under <br />803 Larpenteur Av <br />Minnesota law. <br />(PF3315) <br />Discussion ensued among the councilmembers about the three <br />options. Goedeke expressed concern about the timeliness of an <br />environmental study and the availability of good data. Maschka <br />expressed concern about the cost of an environmental study and <br />conclusiveness of an environmental study. <br />Kysylyczyn moved, Klausing seconded and commented, to <br />formally find that there is the potential for significant <br />environmental effects from crematoria, and formally direct <br />Roselawn Cemetery to conduct an environmental review <br />consistent with the requirements of the Minnesota Environmental <br />Quality Board concerning potential environmental and public <br />health effects of crematoria emissions at the Roselawn <br />Cemetery. Roll Call, Ayes: Klausing and Kysylyczyn. Nays: <br />Mastel, Goedeke and Maschka. Motion failed. <br />Maschka moved, Mastel seconded, to formally direct the City <br />Attorney to prepare Draft Findings for review and consideration <br />by the City Council on August 27, 2001, in light of the Council's <br />possible denial of the Applicant's request for a conditional use <br />permit. <br /> <br />
