CC ITYOUNCIL City Council Minutes Regular Meeting of October 22, 2001 The City Council met on the above date with the following members 6:31p.m. present (voting order): Klausing, Maschka, Goedeke, and Kysylyczyn. Roll Call Absent: Mastel. A.Communications and Public Comment A-1Kysylyczyn noted there would be a continuance of the public hearing on Agenda Item H-1 involving the Roseville Mobile Home Park, pursuant to the request of the Applicant. A-2Chuck Nagel, 2599 Lexington Avenue, related a story about a friend?s traffic ticket in Roseville. He seeks statistics about seat belt tickets written by the Roseville Police Department, and questions our priorities. Beets indicated he would report back to the Council at the next Council Meeting on November 13. A-3Kris Kringle, owner of the commercially zoned property at 1887 Rice Street, spoke about a Code Compliance letter he received. He seeks clarification of, or relief from, a duty to clean snow off the sidewalk in front of his property. Welsch noted that Section 407.03 of the City Code requires all commercial property owners to clear the sidewalk in front of their property. A-4Fire Chief Richard Gasaway reported on a significant 2-alarm fire in Little Canada yesterday, Sunday, October 21. The Roseville Fire Department responded on a mutual aid basis. A-5John Ericson, 1233 Larpenteur Avenue, asked who would shovel snow from the sidewalk in front of his commercial property. Bloom explained that, due to the mid-block Ramsey County Parcel, and the fact that the City plows trails on Fernwood and Hamline, the stretch of Larpenteur sidewalk in front of Mr. Ericson?s property will be plowed by the City of Roseville. A-6Scott Brannon, 1513 Larpenteur Avenue, also asked who would shovel snow from the sidewalk in front of his commercial property. Bloom explained that, due to the mid-block Ramsey County Parcel, and the fact that the City plows trails on Fernwood and Hamline, the stretch of Larpenteur sidewalk in front of Mr. Brannon?s property will be plowed by the City of Roseville A-7Kysylyczyn read a press release relating to the Ethics Commission investigation of the complaint lodged against him. Nays: none. B-2Maschka moved, Goedeke seconded, that the minutes of the work session of October 15, 2001, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes: Klausing, Maschka, Goedeke, and Kysylyczyn. Nays: none.
