<br />CC <br />ITYOUNCIL <br />City Council Minutes <br />Regular Meeting of October 22, 2001 <br />The City Council met on the above date with the following members <br />6:31p.m. <br />present (voting order): Klausing, Maschka, Goedeke, and Kysylyczyn. <br />Roll Call <br />Absent: Mastel. <br />A.Communications and Public Comment <br />A-1Kysylyczyn noted there would be a continuance of the public <br />hearing on Agenda Item H-1 involving the Roseville Mobile Home <br />Park, pursuant to the request of the Applicant. <br />A-2Chuck Nagel, 2599 Lexington Avenue, related a story about a <br />friend?s traffic ticket in Roseville. He seeks statistics about seat <br />belt tickets written by the Roseville Police Department, and <br />questions our priorities. Beets indicated he would report back to <br />the Council at the next Council Meeting on November 13. <br />A-3Kris Kringle, owner of the commercially zoned property at 1887 <br />Rice Street, spoke about a Code Compliance letter he received. <br />He seeks clarification of, or relief from, a duty to clean snow off <br />the sidewalk in front of his property. Welsch noted that Section <br />407.03 of the City Code requires all commercial property owners <br />to clear the sidewalk in front of their property. <br />A-4Fire Chief Richard Gasaway reported on a significant 2-alarm fire <br />in Little Canada yesterday, Sunday, October 21. The Roseville <br />Fire Department responded on a mutual aid basis. <br />A-5John Ericson, 1233 Larpenteur Avenue, asked who would shovel <br />snow from the sidewalk in front of his commercial property. <br />Bloom explained that, due to the mid-block Ramsey County <br />Parcel, and the fact that the City plows trails on Fernwood and <br />Hamline, the stretch of Larpenteur sidewalk in front of Mr. <br />Ericson?s property will be plowed by the City of Roseville. <br />A-6Scott Brannon, 1513 Larpenteur Avenue, also asked who would <br />shovel snow from the sidewalk in front of his commercial <br />property. Bloom explained that, due to the mid-block Ramsey <br />County Parcel, and the fact that the City plows trails on Fernwood <br />and Hamline, the stretch of Larpenteur sidewalk in front of Mr. <br />Brannon?s property will be plowed by the City of Roseville <br />A-7Kysylyczyn read a press release relating to the Ethics <br />Commission investigation of the complaint lodged against him. <br />B.Approval of MinutesMinutes <br />B-1Maschka moved, Goedeke seconded, that the minutes of the <br />meeting of October 8, 2001, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes: <br />Klausing, Maschka, Goedeke, and Kysylyczyn. Nays: none. <br />B-2Maschka moved, Goedeke seconded, that the minutes of the <br />work session of October 15, 2001, be approved.
